Have you been told “you need to lose weight if you want to feel better?”

But the advice is always the same: exercise more and eat less?

As if it were that simple!

Obesity is a treatable condition

Obesity is a complex, chronic condition with many causes. It is also the root cause, or exacerbating factor for many other diseases. The good news is: We can treat obesity, just as we treat a multitude of other chronic conditions.

It takes time, a strong commitment from both patient and clinician. Treatment is evidence based and specifically tailored to your needs, taking into account your unique strengths and challenges.

How We Can Work Together

Anti-obesity medications, on their own, will not work for most patients. Obesity and excess weight are complex and so is treatment.

My approach to weight loss is comprehensive and patient centered.
We use methods following these five pillars:

Nutrition

Behavior

Physical Activity

Medication

Surgery

Comprehensive Concierge Treatment

High Value Care

Includes:

  • We monitor and treat your co-occurring conditions

  • We track your body composition analysis throughout care

  • We obtain labs, if indicated. Including genetic testing

  • Customized nutritional support (The best “diet” is the one you can stick to. Also, we dislike the word “diet”.)

  • Appointments are frequent and not rushed

  • We communicate with your primary care team to ensure your entire care team is informed and working together

  • Prescriptions for anti-obesity medications*

We’ll start with a thorough history and exam, which includes a body composition analysis. Using the above principles we’ll develop a treatment plan to help you reach your weight loss goals. TNH recommends at least one year of care and offers this via two programs. If patients are not in weight maintenance phase or ready to transition medications to PCP after one year, continuation of care is welcome and encouraged. For patients with a considerable amount of weight to lose, the journey can take a couple of years.

*To ensure high quality and safe care TNH only prescribes FDA approved weight loss medications. Additionally, medications are not prescribed if patient has contraindications.*
